I am proudly part of the founding members of the Society for Conservation Biology's Conservation Genetics Working Group, which I presided from 2015-2019. I continue now my involvement as chair of the Education and Events Committee, aiming at increasing genetic literacy in the conservation biology community. If you would like to know more and join our group visit our page here. I have also participated in multiple outreach activities, particularly in Portugal, relating to biodiversity and science outreach to the general public and students from all age groups. I am also a member of the Portuguese Association for the Conservation of Biodiversity, where I aim to raise awareness of the importance of biodiversity for a sustainable future. Check the NEWS tab to check some of my recent work with this association. |
